is proficient in English and Portuguese, and she is an experienced Spanish speaker. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida. She then went on to earn her master’s degree at the University of Central Florida, where she obtained her degree to practice Speech Language Pathology. She completed her internship at Miami Children’s Hospital Outpatient Center, where her training focused on oral motor deficits, food aversion, sensory processing disorder, dysphagia, autism spectrum disorder, cri du chat syndrome, language delay/ disorders, articulation and phonological errors, auditory processing disorders, early literacy intervention, and pragmatic/social deficits. She has years of experience assessing and treating children with a wide variety of communication-based disorders in the public school system and some experience working privately as well. Her clinical expertise includes the implementation of assistive technology in the treatment of children who are non-verbal and sensory-based interdisciplinary practices. She believes in a holistic treatment approach, which includes parent coaching/support and collaborating with other disciplines as needed. She is a mother of two herself and looks forward to shifting gears into a more clinical setting again!
